How to Set Up Automatic Email or Text Notifications

Single Users

  1. Log in to your Single User account (please note that users with Family Plans can only set up notifications using the Family Admin account)
  2. On your dashboard page, click on your name in the upper right corner, then click on Profile
  3. Navigate to the Notifications tab to set up either email or text/SMS messages.
  4. Navigate to the Email Notifications tab. Type in the email address that you would like to receive the notifications for each option. Click Save when finished under each notification type (see screenshots below)
  5. You can also select the frequency options (how often you would like to receive each option) on the right side for each individual email address under Email Notifications.
  6. Navigate to the Text Messaging tab and enter the phone number you would like to receive notifications for each option you would like to be notified of.
  7. You may also set up email notifications to go out to multiple other addresses or phone numbers by clicking on the green “Save” button next to each option, which will add another space for you.
  8. When enabling phone Text/SMS messaging, all applicable carrier text messaging charges apply. Please check with your phone plan before enabling these options to avoid unnecessary charges. We are not responsible for these charges and do not have a way to refund or void these charges.

Family Plan Users & Admins

Master Notifications (applied to ALL user accounts at once)

  1. Log in to your Family Admin account
  2. On the Admin Dashboard, navigate to the Master Notifications tab.
  3. On the Email Notifications add the email address you would like to receive the notifications for ALL of your user accounts and what frequency under each option you would like to receive (see screenshot below).
  4. You can also select the frequency options (how often you would like to receive each option) on the right side for each individual email address under Email Notifications.
  5. Navigate to the Text Messaging tab and enter the phone number you would like to receive notifications for each option you would like to be notified of.
  6. You may also set up email notifications to go out to multiple other addresses or phone numbers by clicking on the green “Save” button next to each option, which will add another space for you.

Individual Family User Notifications (applied to one user account only)

  2. On the Admin Dashboard, navigate to the Account tab
  3. Click on the name of the user you would like to set up for notifications
  4. Navigate to their Notifications tab
  5. Navigate to the Email Notifications tab. Type in the email address that you would like to receive the notifications for each option. Click Save when finished under each notification type (see screenshots above)
  6. You can also select the frequency options (how often you would like to receive each option) on the right side for each individual email address under Email Notifications.
  7. Navigate to the Text Messaging tab and enter the phone number you would like to receive notifications for each option you would like to be notified of.

  10. Repeat this for your other user accounts by first clicking on the Simply Smarter logo in the upper left corner to go back to your Family Admin dashboard and starting from Step 1.
